About me
As a dedicated educator who focuses on empowering my students to become readers and writers with a voice, my knowledge and expertise in YAL, as well as Student Voice & Choice (SVC), have grown exponentially. I have been in the field of education for over twenty years, completed a Masters in Literacy, and earned my Doctor of Education in Literacy at Judson University. Sharing these experiences with intermediate and secondary teachers has become my passion and mission, especially since I have a personal investment as a parent of a senior in high school and a junior in college.
