Join Facing History and Ourselves to experience and practice strategies that support respectful
conversations and perspective taking around potentially challenging topics, essential skills for
effective civic participation. Attendees will leave with ready-to-use tools for navigating crucial
conversations while building inclusive learning environments. This session is intended for secondary
(grades 6-12) Civics, Social Studies, History, and Humanities educators.
